Privacy
Your reading history is yours. We never sell it, never share it, and you can wipe it with one click.
What we store
- Your email (for sign-in via Supabase Auth)
- Your reading history — which stories you opened, when (used for the news-diet tracker)
- Your bias classifications per outlet
- Your bookmarks and notes
- Your topic / language / region preferences
How it's protected
- Data hosted in ap-south-1 (Mumbai) — satisfies India's 2026 data-localisation amendment
- Row-level security at the database layer — your rows are structurally invisible to other users
- No third-party analytics on private surfaces (My Diet, Saved, Settings)
- Server-side analytics via self-hosted Plausible — no cookies, no PII
Controls
- Settings → opt out of read-history logging (your reads stop being recorded; existing rows are purged)
- Settings → wipe account (deletes all your data; irreversible)
- Settings → export your bookmarks as JSON
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
- We don't target ads with your reading history
- We don't share your classifications without opt-in (and even then, only aggregated, with a ≥20-user threshold)
